Rock Wool Strip is a high-performance strip-shaped thermal insulation and fireproof product independently developed and produced by Hebei Huashuo Xingye Thermal Insulation Building Materials Co., Ltd., a customized premium product derived from high-strength rock wool boards for the structural characteristics of building and industrial insulation scenarios. Taking high-quality basalt and other natural igneous rocks as the core raw materials, it is manufactured through advanced processes of high-temperature melting, high-speed centrifugal spinning to form inorganic fibers, adding special hydrophobic agents and thermosetting resin binders, pressing, curing, and then cutting the rock wool board into strips at a specific spacing and flipping it 90° for use. The fiber arrangement direction of the product is perpendicular to the application surface, which greatly enhances its compressive and tensile strength compared with ordinary rock wool boards. It retains all the excellent properties of rock wool materials such as A1-class non-combustibility, thermal insulation, sound absorption and corrosion resistance, and features high structural strength, precise size, easy installation and strong scenario adaptability. Superior A1-Class Fire Resistance & High-Temperature Stability
As an inherent A1-class non-combustible material, its raw material basalt has a melting point of more than 1000℃, and the finished product can withstand high temperatures up to 600℃ in long-term use with excellent hot load shrinkage temperature performance. In case of fire, it will not burn, melt or release toxic smoke and combustible gases, and can maintain structural stability without shrinkage and deformation, effectively blocking the vertical and horizontal spread of fire. Its ultra-low organic content is strictly controlled through combustion testing, and it fully complies with GB 8624-2012 and ASTM E-136 fire safety standards, providing a reliable fire protection barrier for high-rise buildings, industrial plants and key public facilities.
Enhanced Mechanical Strength & Structural Stability
The unique production process of cutting and flipping makes the fiber direction perpendicular to the stress surface, and the fiber presents a vertical upright structure, which significantly improves the compressive and tensile strength of the product. The compressive strength (fiber direction) is ≥60kPa (density 100kg/m³) and up to ≥80kPa (density 120kg/m³), and the tensile strength is ≥120kPa, which can bear high loads and structural vibration for a long time without deformation, cracking or delamination. Its excellent dimensional stability (dimensional change rate ≤1.0%) ensures no thermal expansion or contraction with temperature changes, and it can be closely combined with building structures to avoid performance attenuation caused by structural gaps.
Efficient Thermal Insulation & Low-Carbon Energy Saving
It has a dense three-dimensional interwoven fiber structure with a porosity of more than 90%, which can effectively lock air and block heat conduction and convection. The thermal conductivity at an average temperature of 25℃ is ≤0.045W/(m·K), and it can be as low as 0.035-0.042W/(m·K) under standard conditions, with excellent thermal insulation performance. It can effectively resist the erosion of rainwater, water vapor and humid air, avoid performance degradation such as reduced thermal insulation caused by water absorption, and has a good ability to release water vapor pressure, which can protect the building structure from moisture damage such as condensation. The content of silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide in the product is more than 80%, with excellent chemical stability and acid-alkali corrosion resistance (able to withstand the corrosive environment of PH value 2-12), and no corrosion to carbon steel, aluminum alloy, copper and other metal materials and building components. Its PH value is 7 or slightly alkaline, which does not meet the growth conditions of mold, fungi and bacteria, and is free from moth-eaten and mildew. It can maintain stable physical and chemical properties for a long time in harsh working environments such as industrial workshops and chemical pipelines, with a service life of more than 25 years and low later maintenance costs.
Excellent Sound Absorption & Noise Reduction
The open porous fiber structure can effectively absorb sound wave energy, especially has a significant attenuation effect on medium and low frequency noise, with a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) ≥0.6. It can convert sound energy into heat energy and dissipate it, effectively reducing environmental noise, mechanical equipment vibration noise and building structural noise, and improving the acoustic environment quality of the application site. It supports secondary processing such as cutting, punching and splicing, and is suitable for the insulation construction of special-shaped structures. The dry construction method is adopted in installation, which is matched with special adhesives and anchors, and the construction efficiency is 3 times higher than that of the traditional wet operation, and it is not restricted by seasonal climate, greatly shortening the project construction period.
